Today, I will share my experience visiting the ancient city of Hierapolis. This incredible place is located in Pamukkale, Denizli. It’s a destination where you can lose yourself in history, as it hosts many fascinating ancient ruins.
One of my favorite spots in Hierapolis is the Cleopatra Pool. This unique pool was formed when a large hole appeared in the middle of the city after an earthquake in the 7th century BC. The healing waters of the region began to fill this hole, creating a natural wonder. The ancient ruins submerged in the pool add a truly magical atmosphere to the experience.
You can swim in this pool anytime throughout the year since the water is naturally warm. However, I recommend visiting during spring or summer, as these are the most beautiful times to explore Denizli.
